World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
Item upgrades allow players to raise the item level of equippable weapons and armor. This boosts the power of the equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rerolling an affix.
It is important to keep in mind that while you can upgrade your magic and common equipment, it's usually not worth the effort. Rare and exclusive equipment will quickly surpass modernized equipment and magic.
Cost
When a player decides to upgrade an item, they must pay Gold for the upgrade. The cost to upgrade an item varies based on the current level of the item and type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are generally less expensive than upgrades to armor since weapons have less requirements. The amount of Gold required increases as an item is upgraded.
An upgraded item will also come with increased stats, which can boost its performance in many ways. This could include boosting its attack power or critical strike chance. Additionally, an upgraded item may be able to provide extra bonuses to its equipped unit. These upgrades are able to boost the overall strength of a unit or individual unit, and may have a significant impact on the gameplay.
The NPC for upgrading items can be located in the game. Generally these NPCs are found in major cities or questing areas. Players can also locate item upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses and by chatting with NPCs in their garrisons of their faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to improve the quality of weapons, armor and trinkets. This process is similar to gear reforging process in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of making use of currency, players will need to visit an item upgrader to complete the process.

Upgrades can be expensive particularly for weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path you select, each level increase can cost Valorstones or Crests. item upgrading can be prohibitive for those who do not have the funds or are unwilling to grind.
Fortunately the game lets players reroll an upgraded item with an additional tool available in the menu of items. This option allows you to replace the upgraded item with the level 1 version which has different bonus effects. This can be useful to get better rolls on items that are already upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.
Requirements
The process of upgrading equipmentable items like armor, weapons and trinkets is to increase the item level. This can increase their effectiveness and make them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate currency at an item upgrader. Players should be aware of the fact that some upgrades require special requirements.
The first upgrades increase the base item's stats by one level, but later upgrades provide more significant boosts. Upgrades from levels 3 to 6 will boost the weapon's damage by two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on its level. The bonus consists of a guaranteed substat as well as random generated stats that will change from upgrade to upgrade.
Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item will have a different set of extra bonuses and a lower base item level. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to keep in mind that the item rerolled does not have its original level or any of its wasted resources.
Rerolling some upgraded items is only possible if the item that was upgraded was Epic, Rare, or Unique. Extraordinary items can also be rerolled, but the original stats are replaced by an uncapped bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will result in a Normal version, and rerolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.
Upgraded items could have additional modifiers that can improve their performance and increase their stats. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade price. They can be purchased at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned by doing specific missions within the game.
To upgrade an item of equipment it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Time is a factor.

It's important to know the cost and benefits prior to investing your time or money.
Each upgrade increases the stats of the item's base by to a certain extent and also offers the chance of obtaining a bonus substat. The extra substat is a random and may range from a tiny increase in one stat to a larger boost in another. It's best to focus on the top-performing items in your slot first, as they'll yield a higher return for your investment.

This process uses Growthstones and Sollant however there is a chance of achieving a fully upgraded item in just one cycle. The higher the level an item is upgraded to, the higher its boosted stats value and the more items it can upgrade into.
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, or armor to earn an attribute bonus or an additional effect, when the equipment is worn. Some upgrade components also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are available through crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. This will change the layout and let players select up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with an item of level 1 of the same kind. Recycled items don't keep their status or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.
The maximum upgrade level of an item is determined by the item's level and its quality. Rare items can be upgraded up to an maximum of level six, while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to level nine. The upgrades to items are added to the base statistics of the item.
